A trip to Egypt is a unique opportunity to retrace the footsteps of an ancient civilization that has fascinated - and continues to fascinate - people around the world. Divided in two by the mighty Nile River, Egypt is home to an incredible array of architectural wonders and friendly, charismatic people eager to show off everything their fascinating country has to offer.
On this trip we will start from the capital Cairo , a city full of energy and characterized by a landscape dominated by the majestic Pyramids of Giza . We will then fly south towards the great city of Aswan , the southern frontier of ancient Egypt, where the Nile is a spectacle of nature. We will visit the Temple of Isis and join a local Nubian family for dinner and dancing. We will set sail aboard our floating hotel for a three-night Nile cruise . We'll sail past the eastern desert and traditional palm-covered villages, stopping at Edfu , home to the best-preserved temple in all of Egypt, and the ruined city of Kom Ombo on the banks of the Nile. We will visit the Karnak Temple , dating back to 2,000 BC, and the Valley of the Kings, before reaching the final stop of our cruise: Luxor , considered by many to be the largest open-air museum on the planet. To conclude the trip we will fly back to Cairo for one last night in the capital where we can toast this wonderful adventure.
