Check in to your hotel and meet the rest of your group! If time allows, we can dive right into the local culture, which offers a profound insight into authentic Africa. We may visit Kibera, one of Africa's largest informal settlements, where we'll witness the community's ingenuity and resilience as they strive to survive and look towards the future. It's a rare and unforgettable experience, one that we may encounter only a few times in our lives! Either way, let’s grab a lovely dinner to get to know each other and get excited for the adventures to come!

We depart Nairobi early in the morning en route to Amboseli National Park for our first safari adventure. The journey to the savannah itself is awe-inspiring, yet nothing compares to the emotions awaiting us in the heart of Africa. Today, we'll also visit a traditional Maasai village, where their timeless traditions remain untouched by the modern world. We'll witness their skills as warriors and shepherds, savour their traditional foods, and experience life as nomads in the savannah. Did you know their houses are crafted from mud and cow dung, showcasing their resourcefulness and respect for nature? After lunch at our lodge, we'll set out on our first game drive. Which animal encounter will become our favourite?

Later, as we return to the lodge, don't forget to gaze up at the night sky, where one of the most spectacular starry displays of our lives awaits us!

Picture expansive wilderness adorned with majestic acacias and swaying palms, where elephants roam gracefully across red earth and lions reign supreme. Welcome to Amboseli National Park, a haven for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Today, we'll immerse ourselves in the park's natural wonders, where the raw power of nature will leave us awestruck. As we venture into our second day here, will we finally complete our quest to spot the 'big five'—elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo? We're hopeful! Another day, another National Park adventure! Envision an expanse of African savannah stretching endlessly, where majestic lions bask under the blazing sun. Welcome to Tsavo East National Park—a living, breathing National Geographic documentary, offering breathtaking landscapes and up-close encounters with wildlife. Tsavo East epitomizes untamed wilderness, where every corner holds a surprise and every moment evokes wonder. Are we prepared for an adventure that will ignite our inner explorers? Excellent! But first, let's indulge in a delightful lunch at our lodge before embarking on our jeep safari. In the evening, after dinner, let's gaze once more at the starlit sky and let our imaginations soar!

Our final safari day begins with the sunrise casting a golden glow over the savannah, accompanied by a symphony of birdsong as we prepare for an exhilarating game drive. Boarding our safari jeep, we venture deep into the park. The first light of dawn reveals the sprawling savannah, where lions gracefully conclude their night of hunting. As morning unfolds, we immerse ourselves in the untouched beauty of Tsavo East. We traverse meandering rivers, encounter herds of zebras, and marvel at the inquisitive gazes of giraffes. Every turn brings a new surprise, welcoming us into nature's embrace.

After a rejuvenating break and a delightful lunch amidst the natural surroundings, we embark on another afternoon adventure. The sun high above intensifies the vibrant hues of the savannah as we continue our exploration. Wildlife activity peaks, and we may be fortunate to witness lions on the hunt or elephants gathering at a watering hole. With the sunset painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, we return to our lodge, hearts brimming with emotion and minds filled with unforgettable memories.

After immersing ourselves in the wilderness, the contrast of modern technology awaits: the sleek new Madaraka Express high-speed train will whisk us to Mombasa! The journey promises breathtaking views from the window, yet our anticipation to gaze upon the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean is unmatched. Upon arriving in Mombasa, we transfer to our resort in Diani Beach, renowned as one of East Africa's most stunning coastal destinations. Here, we trade safari gear for swimsuits and savour the first African sunset over the sea, relishing well-deserved relaxation after days of exhilarating safaris.

What lies ahead for our final days of the trip? Following our tried-and-true formula for success, tradition dictates that these days are dedicated to pure relaxation. Here’s a glimpse of what awaits us: we’ll begin each morning with the sun painting the breathtaking scenery of Diani Beach. After indulging in a delightful breakfast of fresh fruits and local coffee, we can embark on an exhilarating underwater adventure—whether it’s snorkelling or diving, the choice is yours!

For lunch, a feast of fresh seafood awaits, after which we might venture into the Kenyan hinterland for picturesque views worth capturing with our cameras.

Alternatively, if the allure of the beach beckons, we’re in the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the laid-back charm of Diani. Spend your afternoon relaxing on the golden sands, strolling along the shoreline, or savouring a refreshing cocktail while witnessing the spectacular sunset over the ocean. Whether you’re drawn to water sports or simply soaking in nature’s beauty, Diani Beach promises something extraordinary for everyone.
