Målselvfossen waterfall
Today marks the start of our exciting journey to explore the stunning Lofoten Islands. The archipelago is connected by a road that runs through tunnels and viaducts, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. We'll grab our rental cars and head south to begin our adventure.
Along the way, we'll be treated to breathtaking views and we'll have the freedom to choose where we want to stop. One stop that's definitely worth it is the Målselvfossen waterfalls - a perfect opportunity to stretch our legs and admire the scenery.

The fishing villages
Our road trip adventure in Norway continues as we make our way south towards the stunning landscapes of Lofoten. The beauty of this journey lies in the road itself, as we get to fully immerse ourselves in the breathtaking scenery.
With three full days to spend in this magical place, we have plenty of time to explore all that it has to offer. Let's decide together on what we can't miss. For instance, we can head to Å - which happens to be one of the countries with the shortest names in the world - and check out the stockfish museum. After all, cod fishing is a traditional activity in this region.
But if we're more interested in natural landscapes, there are plenty of options to choose from. For the photographers among us, Nusfjord, Sakrisoy, Hamnoy, Skagsanden, and Storvatnet are all great spots to capture stunning views of the islands. Later, we'll make our way to Tromsø where the city centre boasts the largest concentration of old wooden houses in the area, with the oldest one dating back to 1789! If the city doesn't pique our interest, we can head back to nature and hike up the mountain overlooking the city. We have two options: take the cable car and enjoy the view, or hike up the mountain for about two hours. Want to make everyone happy? Take the cable car up and hike down!
